The Rainbow Alliance at Saint Louis University is an advocacy and support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight ally students.  Rainbow Alliance’s mission is to sponsor educational and social activities to affirm the dignity and self-worth of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning students and their Allies.

Human Rights Campaign > HRC
 

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest national lesbigay political organization, works to end discrimination, secure equal rights, and protect the health and safety of all Americans. With a national staff, and volunteers and members throughout the country, HRC lobbies the federal government on gay, lesbian and HIV/AIDS issues, educates the public, participates in election campaigns, organizes volunteers, and provides expertise and training at the state and local level.
 

Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays > PFLAG
 

Located in and representing communities nationwide, PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families and friends through support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

DignityUSA works for respect and justice for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons in the Catholic Church and the world through education, advocacy and support.
 

Coming Out Stories
 

Provides a safe and encouraging place for gays and lesbians to post their stories to help somebody who is struggling with coming out! The coming out stories include the bad with the good so as to give the reader a realistic idea of what it is like to come out.

Partial list of Colleges & Universities with Safe Zone Programs
 

A number of college and universities have implemented educational interventions with names such as Safe Zone, Safe Space, Safe Harbor, and Safe On Campus. Although it is unclear who first conceived of the "Safe" idea, the earliest found is the Ball State University program called SAFE On Campus (1992).

OUT! is a group of students dedicated to bring LBGT  awareness to UMSL's campus, to create a positive environment for all students.  We are also committed to bring support for LBGT students and those questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Saint Louis Effort for AIDS
 

Provides HIV testing, case management, confidential support groups, client services, outreach education programs, treatment education programs, an AIDS Education Center, Speakers/Exhibits Bureau, a treatment issues library, Buddy Program, and a Work Place Re-Entry Program.
 

AIDS Foundation of Saint Louis

The mission of The AIDS Foundation of St. Louis is to provide leadership in marshaling resources through public awareness, advocacy, collaboration and targeted grant-making for the care of people affected by HIV/AIDS and to assist in preventing the epidemic from spreading.
 

MTV Fight For Your Rights: Protect Yourself
 

Fight for Your Rights: Protect Yourself is MTV's campaign to inform and empower you on the issues surrounding your sexual health. Brought to you in partnership with the Kaiser Family Foundation, the campaign will provide the latest information on HIV and AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and unintended pregnancy. The yearlong initiative includes special programming, public service messages, online and grassroots components, and an extensive resource and referral service.
