now, what is better then a ready made bulletin board? Safe Zone
is making the following ready made boards available to Residence
Life student staff. Some of these may look familiar as they were
adapted from various RA resources while others are SLU
originals. Start with what we give you, then get creative!
While there are many possible GLBT themed boards possible these
tend to be more educational and geared toward the Safe Zone
mission. We ask that you also use the Safe Zone logo included
with the downloads.

The average
student hears 25 anti-gay statements a day in school.
69% of GLBT students feel unsafe in their school because
of their sexual orientation. This board includes
those and many other GLBT hate crime statistics.

students will remember, or at least know of, Matthew
Shepard. Matthew was a 21 year old college student
killed in 1998 for being gay. Timeline, pictures and

The Centers for Disease Control estimates that one out of
every two hundred college students is HIV positive.
US and worldwide HIV/AIDS figures to remind us that AIDS
